Tips and tricks on how to style your customer when the fashion season is transitioning from Summer to Fall or Back to School.  Styles and silhouettes may still be the same, just deeper/darker colors and may be slightly heavier fabric. 

Here are some fun simple ways to show her how to transition and incorporate her new Fall finds with her favorite summer pieces she’s not ready to get rid of just yet.

1. Summer dresses- maybe you add any of the following over the dress. A Fall chunky sweater, oversized graphic tee, or structured vest 
2. Sweater Vests- pair it with shorts, maxi skirt or crop trousers
3. Denim- pair with a lightweight sweater, pin-striped collared button-down top, maybe brami’s are now layered by a heavier cardigan or coatigan or lightweight quilted jacket

Styling doesn’t stop there. Maybe offer her more layers, accessories, and jewelry to complete and complement her OOTD, at the same time increasing your UPT’s!! 

Take it further, start transitioning your floor. Dress your mannequins or bust forms accordingly to make sure they are all going to the same Fall transition party! Post a Fall transition try-on with 1 Fall staple piece. Think chunky sweater, mock neck sweater, heavy cardigan. Let her know you have the latest and greatest styles going into Fall and she can be the first to rock it in the community. 

At the end of the day….You decide on what works best for your customer and demographic.

Play around with the new Fall textures, colors, and silhouettes and slowly introduce them to your customer and assortment while still holding onto some key summer styles. You set the example, YOU are the fashion expert!
